    The Barlow Collection

The figure is roughly moulded in two halves, identified as a foreigner with sharp nose, moustache and prominent eyebrows, wearing a pointed hat with turned-up brim at the front and back, a knee-length coat with open lapels and long pushed-up sleeves, trousers and boots, the space between the legs not hollowed out. The light grey pottery body shows traces of red pigment for the coat, green for the lapels, blue for the hat and black for the hair.
