    The Barlow Collection

The globular jar is well potted, resting on a splayed foot, the rim is emphasized by a flange, and a short tapering octagonal spout is attached at the shoulder. The beige-coloured earthenware bears a white slip and the outside is covered with a deep cobalt-blue glaze, including rim and spout, but ending half-way down the sides and running down further in streaks. Seven white patches are reserved around the shoulder, each with a yellow splash on the transparent glaze, and the inside is glazed in a bright amber-yellow.
