    The Barlow Collection

The box has straight sides and a low solid foot, the cover is domed with a broad raised ring on top. The rim of the box supports a shallow dish-shaped insert, with everted rim and a small flat base, holding three small globular receptacles between applied stems and blossoms. The off-white body is covered with a white glaze which has largely degraded to a dull colour and partly flaked off. The rims, underside of the insert, base of the box and inside of the cover are unglazed.
