    Catalogue of Islamic Seals and Talismans

    Cornelian; bezel (but the front face is slightly rounded), bevelled towards the front; oval. Three lines separated by straight lines formed by elongations of a ligature. Cursive script; engraved.

    (1) 'In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. Say: "He is بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم قل هو
    (2) God, One, God the Everlasting Refuge, who has not begotten, الله احد الله الصمد لم يلد
    (3) and has not been begotten, and no one is equal to Him." ' (Qur. CXII) ولم يولد ولم يكن له كفوا احد

    There are dots isolated or in groups, spread over the ground. Two lines follow the shape of the gem.
