    Catalogue of Islamic Seals and Talismans

    Green jade; bezel, unbevelled; oval. Three lines of cursive script (nasta`līq), with dots. The first line is underlined by the return of the loop of the final yā’, the second line by elongation of a ligature.

    (1) Give us, God, بده مارا الهى
    (2) eternal life through the truth عمر سرمد بحق
    (3) of the seal [or love] of Muḥammad مهر محمد

    There are dense spiral stems with a great number of schematic floral endings spread over the ground.
