    The Barlow Collection

The bowl has rounded sides and an incurved rim, the low tapering foot is nearly solid with only a shallow footring. The small flat centre inside is moulded with a flower-head, the sides have an indistinctly impressed pattern of four roundels, perhaps containing dragons, on a ground of trailing grape vines, which leaves a band below the rim plain. The outside is decorated with four roundels of dragons inlaid in white slip with black details, and with a white scroll border below the rim. The light green glaze fully covers the bowl, the base shows three white spur marks, on the inside adheres some black grit.
