The Barlow Collection
The jar is of ovoid form with a slightly splayed neck, a wide rounded rim, and a thick straight foot with lower footring. The piece is missing a cover. The rim and footring are left in the light brown biscuit, the rest is glazed in a thick greyish-olive glaze, slightly discoloured from burial. The base has a firing crack.
