    The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

    A large textile with a warp ikat band made up of two strand, each of which is three knots deep, and a single brown band set between. Additional fine warp stripes, and a large undecorated, brown area towards the selvedge.

    The ikat is Yemeni. There are remains of modern stitching. The fabric is part of the Griffith collection.
