    The Barlow Collection

The conical sides are very slightly rounded, the straight foot is nearly solid, the base concave, with a groove carved around it to form a low footring. The inside is sketchily carved with four boys, unevenly distributed, their heads clearly visible, their bodies enveloped in curling cloud-like scrolls. The outside is plain. The blue-tinged glaze is somewhat degraded due to burial, the base is unglazed, showing a pale buff-coloured biscuit.
