    The Barlow Collection

The small rounded cup, supported on a very narrow, straight foot, has deeply fluted sides and a bracket-lobed rim. The piece is misfired and the glaze has turned a dark olive-green, draining to a thin translucent layer on the raised ribs and pooling to a dark, bubbly paste in the grooves. The unglazed footring is reddish-brown, the tiny base is pointed.
