The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

A band with large Z-shapes alternates with squares containing a four-armed spiral; the band has a simple geometric border. Parallel to it is a very narrow row of two simple geometric shapes, possibly imitating script. All outlines are embroidered in dark blue double running stitch, while the space between the Z-shapes and squares have brown darning stitches worked over and under one thread. The design is identical to EA1984.521.a.

The band is 1.8 cm wide, the distance to the narrow row is 3 cm.
