The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries
A diagonal brown band with four white birds and stepped outlines in pink, blue, and white.
Straight and slanting stitches are arranged in chevron pattern. The fragment is similar to EA1993.164. The measurements of length and width follow the weaving structure; as the band is embroidered on the bias, its actual measurements are 9.3 cm x 3.5 cm.
