The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

A band of trefoils and leaves on a chevron stem and borders with a small leaf pattern. The embroidery provides the background.

There is a finely rolled hem along one side, and the remains of a selvedge along the other. The selvedge includes five silk warp threads. The design and technical detail is identical to EA1993.151; both were part of a belt or scarf.
