The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

A band of brown stars set into blue square diamonds, linked by cross-shaped rectangles filled with blue interlace. Along both sides of the band is a border with a single row of brown diamonds containing a swastika, against blue triangles. Most of the embroidery is worked in stepped double running stitch, but there is a row of single cross stitch seperating the wide band from the swastika border.

There is a rolled, whipped hem along one side of the band. The complete width of band and borders is 10 cm.
