The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

A large eight-lobed rosette has a lotus flower in each petal; two tendrils emerge from the lotus. At the centre of the rosette is a star containing a hexagon with further floral motifs. The design is defined by brown stem stitch outlines, the background is blue slanted counted filling stitch worked in diagonal rows.
