The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

A band of linked diamonds; each diamond contains two arrows facing each other, to create a cross. The same arrow shapes, but pointing away from each other, are set between the diamonds. The embroidered band has a border along both sides which is a silk tapestry weave with a curving vine.

The tapestry is silk, on a warp base of flax fibre. It is light red, brown, and possible green.
