The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries
Sampler fragment with various bands of distinct designs. Five of these are embroidered in running stitch containing diamonds, hexagons, and some S-shapes, mostly blue, but with some red silk as well. One band is embroidered in blue and green cross stitch and herringbone with linked interlacing.
The ground fabric is quite coarse.
