The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

Three parallel narrow bands with cartouches and small blue rosettes with six petals. The cartouches are blue and each contain three linked ovals embroidered in yellow. The split and stem stitch is used for both outlines and filling, and there are small yellow circles in eyelet stitch, as well as remains of pulled work with three-sided stitch.

The bands are 0.8 cm wide, with 4.3 cm between each. The fragment is identical to EA1984.424.
