The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

Two parallel bands of medallions linked by tendrils, framed by a chevron border. The medallions are embroidered with yellow pulled work with wrapping stitches in diagonal rows, the tendrils and chevrons are yellow split stitch.

The bands are 2.3 cm wide and are set at right angles to a selvedge along one side of the fragment, and a rolled hem along the other. The sewing thread of the hem has disintegrated.
