The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

A wide band is filled with four rows of linked squares, each with diamonds and a cross. The embroidery is brown. The band has a border of blue triangles alternating with diamond-hook shapes. The border design is found a third time, and the beginning of an additional brown row of squares suggests that the band was repeated.

There is a rolled hem whipped with flax, at right angles to the band.
