The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries
Three narrow bands with cartouches that contain either a single S-shape embroidered in yellow satin stitch, a star in fine blue darning stitch, or drawn-thread work with yellow overcast stitches in two directions. The outlines are pulled work with wrapping stitches worked on the diagonal.
Each band is 1.5 cm wide.
