The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

A narrow band with remains of brown and red embroidery is parallel to a field of closely set bands with alternating red and brown squares, staggered in diagonal rows. Each square contains a symmetrical pseudo-inscription.

The single band is 1.4 cm wide. There are remains of stitching along one narrow side of the fragment.
