    The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

    One diamond contains a symmetrical inverted double-hook design; the same diamond pattern is also divided in half and repeated, again filled with the hook design. In addition there is a narrow band containing a row of lozenge shapes.

    A further embroidery band was once present, but all stitching has disintegrated. Only the needle marks are left.
