The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

An embroidered rectangle is divided into seven very narrow bands. The three central bands have a green scroll design separated by blue lines; this is followed on either side by a band of red inscription and blue chevrons.

The embroidery is thread couched by itself, with addition of isolated blue chain stitch. It is sewn onto a plain linen cloth made up from two fragments, connected by a run-and-fell seam.
