The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

Sampler fragment with one band filled with small chevrons and double crosses, and very narrow bands with small triangles or arrows alternating with simple crosses, and a step pattern. The chevrons are worked in counted straight stitch. Some of the double running stitch uses two colours, which makes it easy to follow the stitch sequence.
