A large eight-petalled rosette is defined by two parallel outlines embroidered in split stitch. The rosette has a dot in the centre and is set into a square with a palmette border.

Straight lines of stitching at right angles and following two sides of the border suggest that the fragment was sewn up as a rectangle, possibly as a cushion. Along the long edge with stitching are also the remains of additional yellow silk threads.
