Large, red rosettes are surrounded by smaller rosettes, four eight-petalled white rosettes alternating with four very small red ones. The pattern is red on a light background, parts of which may have been dyed in an additional colour.

Selvedge; the pattern is printed to continue beyond it. The reverse is only partly penetrated by the dye. The design was printed with a block the size of 8 cm. x 8 cm. Three of the smallest red rosettes have six petals, while the fourth only has five. This mistake recurs throughout the fabric.
