    Catalogue of Islamic Seals and Talismans

    Cornelian; bezel, bevelled towards the front (but only very slightly); square; frontal angle cut, back angle also cut, but only very slightly. Two lines of cursive script separated by the return of the loop of the final yā’ in the first line. Without dots. A date beneath.

    The decoration of the ground consists of some schematic flowers composed of crossed strokes. Two concentric square lines follow the shape of the gem.
