The A. H. Church Collection of Japanese Sword-Guards (Tsuba)
Rounded oblong, 32-lobed; each face separated by incised radial lines (covering the seppadai) into 32 florets, alternately flat and concave; pierced near the top with a solid five-pointed star in a circle; the whole surface (except seppadai) covered with fine brass inlay of scrolling stems set with a few leaves and chōji (heraldic cloves). Koike Style.
