    The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

    A central band of chevrons with lines of S and inverted S shapes on both sides, and borders of triangle and geometric floret pattern.

    Most of the embroidery thread has perished, although the design is still clearly visible. There is a run-and-fell seam at right angles to the band, and remains of a rolled hem.
