    The Barlow Collection

    The bowl has conical sides, widely everted towards the flared rim, and a straight-cut, nearly solid foot with a shallow, uneven footring. The footring shows the light buff-coloured biscuit, while the inside of the bowl is covered with a black glaze with large rust-brown splashes. The outside is almost completely rust-brown with only small areas of black around the rim. The base bears an illegible inscription of two Chinese characters, written in ink.
