The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

A band with paired trefoils set within hexagons. The trefoils have brown outlines in stem stitch and are defined by the ground fabric. They have blue curving frames worked in slanted filling stitch, and there is a narrow border embroidered in stem stitch. The design and technical details are identical to EA1993.132, and both textiles were once part of the same cloth.
